China Transformer Factory — 100,000 m² Plant in Qingdao
QDTB manufactures oil-immersed and dry-type transformers, prefabricated substations and switchgear at a 100,000 m² plant in Qingdao, Shandong, China. Manufacturing has run on this site since 2001, with 500+ employees and exports to more than 30 countries. Core cutting, winding, cast resin and oil processing, assembly and routine testing all happen in the same plant.
Inside the plant

What we do in-house
Core cutting & stacking
Grain-oriented silicon steel and amorphous alloy cores are cut and stacked in-house, so core loss is controlled at the source rather than accepted from a supplier.
Winding
Copper and aluminium windings, foil or round wire, wound to the impedance and short-circuit withstand required by the order.
Cast resin & oil processing
Dry-type windings are cast under vacuum in epoxy resin; oil-immersed units go through oil processing and filling on the same site.
Assembly & tank fabrication
Tank fabrication, painting and final assembly for oil-immersed units and prefabricated substations are done in the same plant, not subcontracted.
Routine testing
Every unit is routine-tested before shipment: ratio, impedance, no-load and load loss, insulation resistance, power-frequency withstand, and partial discharge for dry-type units. A routine test report is issued with each unit.
Packing & export
Export packing, marking and documentation are prepared for FOB Qingdao shipment, with the datasheet, routine test report and GA drawing issued per unit.
