How It Works

A cable tray supports and organises the power and signal cables that run through the plant, replacing haphazard conduit with a structured, inspectable route. Hot-dip galvanising protects the steel against corrosion for the plant's life, and the open, modular design makes additions and maintenance far easier than buried or enclosed runs.

Structure & Composition

The tray comes in ladder, slot and perforated types, formed from hot-dip galvanised steel or aluminium. Sections bolt together with couplers and hang from brackets or trapeze supports. Ladder trays carry heavy power cables, while perforated and slot trays suit signal and control cables.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

Tray or conduit?

Trays suit multi-cable runs and simplify maintenance and expansion; conduit offers mechanical protection where the run is exposed or buried.

Q

What tray type for power cables?

Ladder trays carry heavy power cables; perforated and slot trays suit lighter signal and control wiring.

Q

How long does galvanised tray last?

Hot-dip galvanising provides decades of corrosion resistance indoors and out.
