⚙How It Works
Room-level total flooding protects the whole storage container, battery room or data hall. When detectors confirm a fire, the system floods the space with perfluorohexanone to the design concentration, suppressing the fire by heat absorption and, critically, remaining non-conductive so live equipment is not damaged. It is the final barrier that contains anything the PACK- and cluster-level layers could not stop.
▦Structure & Composition
The room-level system consists of a central controller, multi-zone detectors, a bank of perfluorohexanone cylinders and a pipe-and-nozzle distribution network. On activation it isolates ventilation, interlocks the BMS and releases agent to the design concentration within seconds. A manual release station and alarm annunciator support code-compliant operation.

Applications
Selection Guide
- Storage containers, battery rooms and data halls as the final containment layer.
- Confirm the design concentration and flooding time meet the applicable fire code for the space.
- Integrate with ventilation shutdown and BMS interlocks so discharge is safe and effective.
Frequently Asked Questions
What concentration is required?
The design concentration depends on the agent and space; perfluorohexanone typically floods at 4–6 % for lithium battery protection.
Does flooding damage the equipment?
No — perfluorohexanone is non-conductive and leaves no residue, so live electronics continue working after a discharge.
How is room-level triggered?
Multi-zone detectors confirm the event, the controller cuts ventilation and BMS power, then releases agent to the full design concentration.
