How It Works

A low-voltage power conversion system (PCS) is a bidirectional AC/DC converter: in one direction it rectifies grid AC to charge the battery, and in the other it inverts battery DC to feed the grid or loads. The PCS-LV platform serves 48 V or low-DC battery banks, with a fast transfer capability that islandes the system and keeps critical loads powered when the grid fails, plus black-start to re-energise a de-energised network.

Structure & Composition

The PCS-LV contains a low-DC input stage, a bidirectional two-level IGBT bridge, an LCL filter and a contactor network that manages grid-tie and islanded operation. A DSP controller runs the grid-following and grid-forming algorithms, while CAN and Modbus ports hand charge/discharge commands to the BMS and EMS. The enclosure is IP20 for indoor installation with forced-air cooling.
