How It Works

A pitched-roof mounting system transfers the weight of the modules and the lift from wind into the roof structure through hooks anchored to the rafters. The design keeps the roof watertight by sealing the hook penetration with a rubber gasket, and the rails provide a continuous channel onto which modules clamp at the optimum tilt. The goal is a structure that survives the site's wind and snow loads for the module's 25-year life.

Structure & Composition

The system comprises stainless rafter hooks, anodised aluminium rails, module clamps and end caps. Hooks bolt to the rafters beneath the tiles with rubber-sealed bases; rails run perpendicular across the hooks; and clamps lock the module frames to the rails. Pre-assembled rail sections and a one-tool clamp design cut installation time on the roof.

Selection Guide

  • Tile, slate and metal roofs where the structure fastens to rafters without penetrating the waterproofing.
  • Match hook type to the roof covering (tile hook, metal-roof clamp) for a secure, watertight fix.
  • Verify the rail spacing against the module's mounting-hole dimensions and the site wind/snow rating.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q

How does the roof stay watertight?

Hooks are sealed with rubber gaskets where they pass through the covering, so water never reaches the rafter.

Q

What tilt angle should I use?

Roughly the site's latitude for fixed mounts, or match the existing roof pitch to minimise visual impact.

Q

How long does the structure last?

Anodised aluminium and stainless hardware are designed for a 25-year service life matching the modules.
