How It Works

Interdigitated back-contact (IBC) cells move both the positive and negative contacts to the rear of the wafer, removing the front busbars entirely. With no metal shading the front face, the full area collects light, delivering the highest efficiency in the range and a clean, all-black appearance. Structure & Composition

The IBC module's cells carry an interdigitated grid of p-type and n-type fingers on the rear, bonded to a patterned backsheet with a fully black front glass and no visible busbars. This all-black aesthetic integrates seamlessly into facades and premium roofs, while the rear-contact design also lowers the cell temperature slightly, aiding high-temperature yield.
