⚙How It Works
Tunnel-oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) cells replace the rear aluminium contact with an ultra-thin oxide layer and a doped poly-silicon layer. This passivated contact stops minority carriers from recombining at the metal interface, pushing efficiency toward 23 % and — critically — reducing the temperature coefficient so output stays high in real-world heat. The technology also enables strong bifaciality, capturing albedo light from the rear.
▦Structure & Composition
The TOPCon module sandwiches 182 mm half-cut cells between 2 mm double-glass panes, using POE encapsulant for superior PID resistance and long-term durability. The rear glass — instead of a polymer backsheet — lets light reach the rear of the cell for bifacial gain, and the double-glass build earns a longer power warranty than single-glass equivalents.
