Distribution Transformer

Transformer Types

A transformer stepping down voltage from the distribution network (11-33 kV) to utilization voltage (400/230V) for end consumers.

A distribution transformer is the final transformer in the power system, stepping MV (11/22/33 kV) to LV (400V/230V) for consumers.

Largest transformer population in any power system, typically 25-2,500 kVA. Because energized 24/7, minimizing no-load loss is crucial.

Types: pole-mounted, pad-mounted, ground-mounted, box-type. Can be oil-immersed or dry-type.

QDTB manufactures distribution transformers from 30 kVA to 2,500 kVA in both types, optimized for minimum TOC with ultra-low losses using amorphous core or premium steel.
