Box-Type Substation (Prefabricated)
A factory-assembled compact substation integrating transformer, HV/LV switchgear, and protection in a weatherproof enclosure.
A box-type substation (prefabricated or package substation) is a complete MV to LV transformation unit, factory-assembled and tested. Includes the transformer, MV/LV switchgear, protection devices, and interconnections.
Advantages: reduced installation time (days vs. weeks), lower civil costs, factory quality assurance, compact footprint. Used in urban distribution, renewable energy, industrial facilities.
QDTB manufactures prefabricated substations from 100 kVA to 2,500 kVA, fully factory tested. Designs comply with IEC 61336. See our new energy solutions guide for renewable applications.
