Reactor

Transformer Types

An inductive device in power systems to limit current, absorb reactive power, or filter harmonics.

A reactor introduces inductance into a circuit. Types: shunt (absorbing capacitive reactive power on long lines), series (limiting fault current), filter (with capacitors for harmonic filtering), neutral grounding.

Air-core for high-current outdoor; iron-core for lower current/indoor. Specifications: voltage, current, inductance, Q factor.

Essential for PF correction and harmonic filtering.

QDTB manufactures reactor types including shunt for EHV, series for fault limiting, and filter for industrial harmonic mitigation.
