Wye-Delta Connection
A three-phase connection with one star and one delta winding providing phase shift and harmonic isolation.
Wye-delta (Yd/Dy) is the most common three-phase configuration. One set star-connected, other delta. Provides: closed path for zero-sequence and 3rd harmonics within delta, neutral for grounding on star side, 30-degree displacement.
Star HV insulation only withstands phase-neutral voltage (line/sqrt(3)), reducing costs. Delta provides inherent harmonic filtering and grounding reference.
Common: Dyn11 (distribution), YNd11 (power). See complete designations.
QDTB manufactures all configurations with extensive Dyn11 and YNd11 experience. See grounding guide for details.
